September is Childhood Cancer month.
This month around 150 children in the UK aged 0 to 14 will be diagnosed with cancer.
17 children a year are diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma (this is what Tabby had).
Hepatoblastoma effects children under 5 (Tabby wasn’t even 2).
Hepatoblastoma is treated with chemo and surgery to either remove the tumours or a liver transplant.
Long term side effects of chemo include:- Heart damage, hearing loss, fertility problems, kidney issues (and more).
